Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification Training
The Occupational Health and Safety Act (the Act) requires all employers in Ontario employing more than twenty (20) workers to establish a Joint Health and Safety Committee. At least one (1) member representing workers and one (1) member representing management must be certified members and have completed Part One and Part Two Certification Training by a Ministry of Labour approved Training Provider

Let us provide Ministry of Labour authorized training to ensure your committee members become certified.

We will work with you to ensure that your firm is in compliance with this legislation while reaching its optimum performance level. Through analysis of Audits, Limited Scope Reviews or Gap Analysis, we will help determine your firm’s strengths and prioritize the opportunities for improvement in order to ensure your Health and Safety Program meets all legal and business requirements.

Respiratory Fit Testing
Respirators play a very important role in the protection of workers, and it is essential that both workers and employers understand how to use them properly. Employers have a general duty, under the Act, to “take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances” to protect workers. In practical terms, this means that workers need to be properly trained in the use of respirators and the fit of each respirator be certified according to CSA Standards before workers use respirators

In addition to providing ‘qualitative’ fit testing, we also provide ‘quantitative’ fit testing using the Portacount Plus Respirator Fit Tester. This sophisticated and accurate equipment for testing allows objective measurement, often with the individual’s own respirator, on-site.

Let us provide respiratory fit testing and respirator user training in accordance with the latest CSA Standard.

First Aid Training
Employers must provide a variety of first aid supports which include trained personnel and sufficient facilities and equipment to offer prompt first aid to injured workers.

Let our Canadian Red Cross approved trainer deliver First Aid and CPR training at your workplace.

Human Resources
Employers have to effectively manage their human resources. Let our highly qualified human resources consultants work with you to ensure effective use of time and resources in human resources management, employee relations, recruitment and selection, new employee orientation, employee separation, discrimination and employee protection, and human resource policies, procedures.

We also serve as impartial investigators or mediators for workplace harassment and violence claims.

Effective Human Resources Management is essential to a profitable business. We can show you how.

Health & Safety Training
Compliance in occupational health and safety often requires appropriate training of all employees. Our training professionals have met our stringent requirements for excellence in the area(s) that they deliver training and have had formal experience in adult education.

Training Programs: We offer a number of workshops and training programs as public offerings in the areas of Regulatory Compliance Hazard Awareness and Prevention, JHSC Committee Certification and Effectiveness, Supervisory Skills , and Human Resources. These courses can be offered at your workplace. For a list of courses, see our Seminar Schedule.

Workplace Specific Training Programs: If you require training that is specific to your workplace, we will work with you to develop new programs or customize one to compliment your needs from our many existing training programs. In order to do this as effectively as possible, we follow voluntary training guidelines that require us to; determine whether a worksite problem can be solved by training; determine what training is needed; identify training goals and objectives; design learning activities; determine training effectiveness; conduct training; and when training is not required, help you determine your firm’s best alternative.

In the vast world of Health & Safety Training, please consult us on your specific needs.
